Last can from the big purchase I did before this virus became what it is today. Pours a clean amber colour with a copper hue. The head is big, frothy, long lasting, light-beige and leaves creamy streaks of lacing. Loads of maple sap in the nose with a nice sweetness and a light nutty brown ale undertone. The flavours are not too sweet, helping a lot going down. Thinner, not syrupy, with just enough hops in the finish to give it a nice dryness. Looks like the maple syrup from my friend as well. Very well brewed.

Hazy peachy colour with a frothy white cap with a tad pink, fizzing away rather quickly, leaving a ring of foam around. Fruity aromas of cranberries and raspberries, with the sweetness. The mouthfeel is sour, dry and tarty. The fruitiness is milder, not as sweet, with the tartiness lingering a little on the tongue. Does not seem like a 7% ABV as it is quite mild all-around. Well-done with the two fruits.

Can from the brewery listed as 9.4% ABV now - Russian Imperial Stout. Pours a dark brown colour with little copper highlights. The head is pretty big, creamy on top, bubbly in the middle with a slight cascade effect at first, for a few seconds. The lacing left is sticky, webby, creamy and foamy. Roasted malt nose with molasses and some grassy hops. The hops show in the flavours, but not as strong as expected from the aromas. They do show up in the finish, getting a little stronger, lingering. This adds some decent dryness. The rest is wet, silky, with the roasted malt, hints of chocolate, coffee grains and molasses again. Easy to drink.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy-bubbly white head, decent stay with a little foam lacing. The nose shows some wheat notes with the bananas, warming alcohol and Belgian Ale yeast. The taste shows lots of cereal grain malts with again, some alcohol and the banana notes lingering in the finish. Fairly rich overall, with more of a blend of bananas and cereal malts. Mild haze at last pour. The hops seems well-balanced in here and it is all-around a good Belgian Strong Ale, but not sure why so wheaty. Maybe our Canadian touch.

Can from the brewery that now shows 6.7% ABV and 52 IBU. Pours a slight hazed golden colour with a white frothy cap with some bubbles, decent stay and loads of sticky creamy-foamy lacing. The base aroma of this one does give me diacetyl notes with popcorn butter and butterscotch. Thankfully, to balance this, some nice hops are present. Even more thankful is the fact that in the taste, this flavours are closer to a West Coast. Way less diacetyl, and more hops with grassy notes. Still, a buttery base in the background, so not one I would go back to.

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a frothy white cap, decent stay and some light foamy lacing. First off, I do not feel any coffee in here, but maybe my heart will later. Maybe I should of had this fresh when I bought it a few months back. Still, a decent refreshing Kölsch with floral notes, some fruitiness, some maltiness and even hops in the nose. Will have to try fresh, on-tap next time around.
