Old rating from 2009 - 500ml bottle, pours brown with a thin head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, toffee, nuts & malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish

This beer has been sinking in my ratings as I have had more brown ales. Somewhat thin but very unadventuresome for a brown ale. Average.

Can on the train from Bingohame to Tamworth, thanks to Rich, 06/09/24. Clear golden blonde with a lasting white head. Nose is lemonade, straw, cereals, pale malts. Taste comprises lemon, grass, herb, pale malts, grains. Light to medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Oooh ... the beer xnobes have been at this one! Decent enough refreshing radler if falling short of any sincere status.

440ml can. Pours dull gold with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is sweet, slightly soapy lemon and eggy straw. Taste has sweet lemonade and straw.

Big ass 650ml bottle at home, cupboard clearance operation, 01/04/24. Golden blonde with a good sized lasting white head ... cupboard aging hasn't done this any harm in terms of appearance! Nose is pale malts, grains, cereals, straw, cardboard. Taste comprises grass, herb, hedgerow, lemon nip, papery notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so mass market carton of piss. I doubt the 7 to 8 years aging has done this any harm as my score isn't too out of line with the average.
