Description
Remnant Brewing opened in 2018, founded by four friends with a passion for craft beer. Joel is the dollars and cents guy, and Dave is the dreamer with a can-do attitude. Brittany, our GM, brings years of hospitality experience and shapes our team to welcome you into our taprooms. Last, (but arguably most important!) Charlie, our Head Brewer, is the bread and butter of this operation. He brings 17+ years of brewing knowledge to the table and crafts the some of the best beers around.

Brewery draught, 2/19/25.
Dark amber-to-caramel, clear. Small, dark beige head.
Nose is plentiful raisin-like fruit with probably some fig and what not in there. Rum raisin, I suppose. Oaky, of course with the rum showing more so than the bourbon. But not boozey or too tannic.
Soft, sticky, not syrupy with good malt depth and decent attenuation. Not boozey, though quite rummy and oaky. Lots of fig, raisin, vanilla, caramel, toffee. Some pleasant oxidation, as well.

Brewery draught, 2/19/25.
Cantaloupe-maize-golden. Small, white head. Medium haze.
Juicy, fruity, soft, aromatic, very classic NEPA notes. Orange, mango, sherbet, tons of brightly fruity yeast. Cracker and biscuit malts gently support.
Juicy, zesty, spicy, good bitterness and tons of texture with mango, Clementine, tangerine and such. Excellent malt depth, attenuation and firm bitterness. New England in texture and flavor but no heavy yeast or lack of bitterness. Lovely stuff.

Brewery draught, 2/19/25.
Dark, can't tell how clear. Medium-sized, tan head, quickly to clumpy ring.
Rich, chocolatey, vanilla-laced dark malts with not too much roast. Mellowness from barrel without much actual bourbon character. Lovely aroma strength. Clean, clear, no booze.
Coconut, vanilla, bourbon spice, rich, roasted cacao and lingering barrel tannin (light). Not syrupy, but full-bodied with just enough comforting sweetness. Not boozey at all. Shockingly mellow for its age. Rich and well-aged. Approaching upper tier Hunah levels.

Brewery draught, 2/19/25.
Dark. Undetermined clarity. Very little head, but got a boss pour, so who knows...
Brown sugar, roasted cacao...mousey lactose and mild, watered down roast. Not loving the very prominent lactose...
Mildly toasty, a bit of licorice, a bit of roast and a lot of lactose. It's not cloying or anything; far from it, but the lactose is so overt. Can't remember if Dragon Stout is an actual good beer, I assume it's not, but it didn't have lactose in it, to my knowledge. Yeah, the lactose just ruins this beer.

Brewery draught, 2/19/25.
Just about clear. Deep brass-golden. Small, white head.
Lightly bready, with white pepper and soft mineral. Bit of funk/sweat. Not overly authentic saison, though. Getting some clove and light bubble gum.
No, im wrong. This is Belgian. Apple, black pepper, no bubble gum. Soft, deep malts with low breadiness, good depth, high attenuation. Mildly spicy, lightly herbal finish. Duponty for sure. Not as richly-sweetly-malted or hopped as that, but cleanly done and no clove or bubble gum. Guess I'm losing my mind accusing the nose of not being authentic. Ah well, I had a good run....

Pours murky dark gold into a willi. White head with medium retention recedes leaving a thin sheet. Mango, pineapple and lychee aromas. Soft with sweet butterscotch and salt water taffy front to back. Medium length earthy pith finish.

Brewery draught, 11/6/24. Dark, ashen-tinged Amburana. Undetermined clarity. Small, light-tan head steadily to ring. Sweet, lightly spicy, cacao-brown-sugar forward nose. But the florals/acidity from the rum perfectly balance it. Good roundness, nothing jumps out nor is there anything harsh/dominant. Rum is big and floral in the mouth, leading to milk chocolate, a fair bit of spicy acidity and light earthiness. The flavors need a bit more time to congeal, though the beer definitely didn't need any more time on the rum. Just a smidge too much of that, though to its credit, it keeps it nice and dry.

Brewery draught, 11/6/24. Moderately hazy, maize-golden. Small, white head, lower retention. Fruity, playful nose. Not a big sniff of woody, vegetal crap that is Amarillo often these days. Soft, fruity esters, supportive dough and light honey from malt. Soft as hell with deep, succulent malts. Fruity, bitter, herbal and spicy like the Amarillo of yore. Clean and do balanced. Wow, Remnant is destroying the hoppy session ale game.

Brewery draught, 11/6/24. Lightly hazy, tangerine-peach-golden. Small, white head. Definitely something apricot-y. Very mild Brett, mild sacchs, lots of biscuit. No crude yeast notes. Juicy lactic and mildly tart Brett with something definitely earthy, definitely fruity. Could be the mushrooms! Whatever the case, this is a lovely, elegant saison with no clove, bubble gum, banana, etc...malty with high attenuation.
