Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted, some mild chocolaty tones with some mild dried fruity tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some chocolaty tones with mild dried fruits and some alcohol and quite strong fruity and floral bitterness to it. Almost like an imperial Cascadian dark....

ABV: 11.7%. ✅ Clear dark dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark fruit, woody, alcohol, moderate chocolate nad coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark fruit - plum, prune, dark malt, sweet malt, roasted, chocolate - coffee, medium dry. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240322]

Hazy pale yellow colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have extreme peaty, leathery notes. Next to that some Saison qualities. A little spicy. Not really getting and of the Grape Ale element. Gets too spicy as it warms up. Becomes medicinal.

Bottle at home, murky golden orange beer. Aroma is... smoke, after that its a bit of smoke and a hint of peat, after that it goes to smoke and a bit ham, if you smell past the smokescreen you can smell a hint of fruitiness. Taste is like an air gust of smoke blew in your mouth combined with peat, some sweet fruit and a hint of smokedham, in the end a sweetness and a hint of grapes and other fruit. i like it alot!

Bottle. Very lively pour, black with enormous brown head. Lots of chocolate, light spices, toffee, earthy, licorice. Solid sweet, medium bitter and very light sour. Over medium body with a lot of carbonation. Not amazing, but better than the other version.

Black with a creamy, light brown head that lingers. Aroma a mix of pine and fudge. Taste is, as warned explicitly and dramatically on the label, bitter. Finishes bitter to acrid with a lingering coffee roast. Despite the bitterness, you can still sense a rich, sweet, malty side just underneath. Full-bodied, mild carbonation, lots of chewiness. Good!

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een aroma van mout en honing. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet, kruidig met tonen van honing.
