Cask handpump at pub in Thame, Oxon, Wednesday 14th December 2016 at our works Christmas lunch Pours chestnut brown in colour with a slim white head. Malt and fruit dominate in this Christmas offering, the mild spiciness adding to the festive feel. Hops only notable by their absence. Ok but if being critical slightly past its best, not too tired and perfectly drinkable but just lacking a little freshness and zip. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

500ml Bottle: BBD 31 Oct 17, shared with my son on 11th Dec 16 (at home). Amber/copper coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma of malty molasses and dark berries. Taste was also malty, semi-sweet and again with traces of dark berries. Slightly disappointed to be honest, not very Christmasy at all.

Gravity cask at the Land Rover Beer Festival 2016. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is yeast, light tropical fruit. The flavour is light to moderate bitter sweet with a smooth fruity woody light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours a little hazy coppery color, topped with a medium small off-white head, a bit creamy. Mild caramel nose, not much else. Some biscuity feel, but mild. Medium full body, gentle sweetness with metallic feel. Some medium bitterness. Not nice after. Terrible aftertaste actually. Ruins the first impression.
