0.5l bottle from #240. This is a deep cloudy orange almost copper colored one and it has a nice medium sized soft bubbly beige head. Lots of sweet caramel on the nose initially. Almost toffee sweetness with traces of sweet peaches, biscuits, some mild chocolate malts and hints of butter. Doesn't smell all that bad, but kinda sweet and almost a little sticky. At least for a pale ale. It has a really dry flavor. Not much sweetness at all to be honest. There's a fair amount of dry cardboard here unfortunately. Feels light oily in the mouth and it has a soft carbonation level. Dry chocolate biscuits with a nice really mild hop profile. IMO, it's not a pale ale what at so ever this. Not bad tasting, just not something I will be having again. 03.07.2014

0.5l bottle from #235. Looks decent in the glass with a slightly cloudy rusty amber colored body under a medium sized bubbly beige head that's leaving nice lacing. Malty and almost a little chocolate roasty on the nose. I get lots of sweet rye, it actually has a hoppy touch on the nose and it's smells quite nice. Even my girlfriend liked the aroma. Tastes nice also. Not a hoppy IPA, but it's flavorful. Quite malt sweet, lots of dark caramel, some more rye sweetness. Ripened fruits. Feels nice and light oily in the mouth and it's soft on the bubbles. Mild yeast finishing this one off. A bit on the sweeter side of the IPA scale but a good one! 26.06.2014

Bottle. An unclear, dark amber to brown beer topped by a minimal sized light beige head. The aroma is bready and spiced, with cloves, cardamom and some generic spiced hints. Hints of chicken farm. It’s quite bitter on the palate, dry and medium bodied, with a soft carbonation. Bready, spiced flavor with caramel and some bitterness. Lasting finish. Balanced spice use in this one, but besides that it’s not very interesting. 141220

Cloudy brownish color with an ok tan head. Ok lacing. Powerful aroma. Bready, burnt caramel and some chocolate. Ok body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation. Powerful flavor with loads of stuff I do not fancy to much. Leather, burnt malt, wood and bready. Must be a decent ale for those who like stuff like this.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy, deep brown colour with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of rye bread, caramel, chocolate, leather, brown malt, plastic bag, barnyard and some sulfur. Malty taste as well with more bread, caramel, wood and a strange bitter and slightly sour aftertaste. Has a slick mouth feel. A strange beer in many ways, is nicely sweet and malty but in the background and in the aftertaste theres some off-flavours.

500 ml bottle. Slightly unclear golden body with a fine, creamy off-white head. MOderat aroma of citric fruit, mild malt and a hint of sour berries. Flavor is mils, medium sweet matt, hint of caramel, light citric fruit, moderate bitterness and a hint of sourness at the end. Medium to thin body with light aftertaste. Light and easy drinkable pale ale with a certain sourness that’s probably not intended. Not much bitterness. Not very exiting but drinkable as far the Brett don’t develop more.

Flaske 500ml under rakfisk-kos på Gleipne 28 Nov 14. Mørk amber. Høyt tett skum. Lett metallisk aroma. Smaken litt fjøs. Holder seg svakt syrlig. “Lite av det meste”.
