Pour is a murky brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice mix of the spicy rye malt with some decent amount of hops. Flavor is about the same. Rye malt is the showcase here but a little lingering hop shows up after the swallow. A bit thin to call this a barely wine IMO but still quite tasty with all the rye used.

Bottle at RBWG 2013, thanks to Eugene. Pours brown with a fine, tan foam head. Stiff alcohol nose, some burnt malts. Medium to big sweet flavor, dark malts, burnt toast, moderate roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish, lots of dark malts, some cocoa, mellow earthy bitterness. Decent stuff overall.

Hazy gold beer, short lived tidy white head. Nose of puke and apples but the puke mercifully dissipates. Light crisp palate. Fresh apple juice, tastes watered down and slightly sweetened. A little papery pale malt underneath. Finishes dry with a papery aftertaste. Nice idea but the execution isn’t great. The fresh apple is nice enough but everything else is messy.

Slightly hazy amber beer, little white head. Light and crispy palate. Minerals. Mild caramel malt. Trace of honey sweetness. Mild citric orange. Semi dry finish with a carbonated sting. Not too bad but could do with more hops!
