Bottle, 7C into a Weizen glass. Clear pale orange with a white head that lasts OK. Aroma is wheaty and smoky with some lemon. A dash of antiseptic in the smoke at first but it bothered me less after a while. Crackery smoky taste again with some citrus or citrus blossoms. No, it’s not sour at all. Fairly dry but there’s hint of malty biscuit there too which gives a surprising presence to the palate for 3.4%. Moderate bitterness. Interesting.

Bottle. Clear brown with a light beige head that’s soon a coat but then lasts well. Aroma of sugarplums, strong bread and sticky crusts. Some overt alcohol. Quite sweet and beery at first with overripe and dried fruit, bread, chocolate brioche. But then honey flavours take hold as it goes towards a drier finish that’s drier than expected. Rather boozy at the end too and after a while it seems like the ale in particular is a sideshow.

Bottle. Clear amber with an off white head that doesn’t last that long. Aroma of toffee, smoke, some apples. Neither as sweet nor full bodied as expected, with moderate carbonation. Smokey with cooked glaze residue -like caramelized notes, some slightly tart apple notes, moderate bitterness (from hops? I’d guess not - maybe burnt grain.) Tastes a lot more rustic than it looks or smells.

This one is all hops and no malt. Great for a really hot Summer evening, but a little unbalanced for me. The aromas a really pleasant - cumquat, mandarin, honey, lemon and grapefruit. The mandarin and lemon are prominent on tasting, with a nice bitter aftertaste. If only we had that solid malt backbone to go finish it off.

Bottle. Slow gusher. Hazy amber with a large white head . A few chunks. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, barely ripe peach and gooseberry, bread. 7+ Medium bodied. Really far too fizzy - better after a swirl, but still. Soft bread with lots of citrus (mainly grapefruit and blood orange) and resin. Not particularly clean and the quite bitter finish doesn’t hang onto the nice citrus flavours for as long as hoped. But the hops are very nice. Odd minor licorice note right at the end after the bitterness creeps up a bit more. Slightly frustrating - not sure the bottle conditioning has helped put its best foot forward.

Bottle. Slightly unclear tea brown. No head. 3- I guess, but A fair bit of sediment left in the bottle that looks like iced coffee Big M. Spicy rye bread, old lemons, juniper, twigs. Almost but not quite flat. Sweet and sour with bread and spices balanced by twiggy wood and lemony sourness. Not deep, but refreshing and really swiggable.

Bottle. Clear dark reddish amber with an inch of beige head that lasts all the way. Aroma of toffee and pomegranate (featuring a bit like the baked fruits sitting with toffee in an ESB), lemon blossoms, mandarins.Really quite full-bodied for under 6%. Toffee and fruit in layers with the citrus getting a little masked. The pomegranate is tart and woody as well as sweet. The finish is bitter, somewhat astringent and unexpectedly quite spicy. Interesting, maybe a bit too spicy at the end.

Bottle shared at Cotts Convention ii, thanks to Mr Pink the milkman, 05/03/16. Murky orange amber topped with a decent beige crown. Nose is earthy hop, pineapple, light mango, straw. Taste comprises light pine, caramel, airy malt, tropical fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Ok but lower end of the style spectrum.

Bottle. Clear amber with a rim and island white head (soon nothing) - the sediment I tip out is bright pink. Aroma is funky, with cherries, vanilla, sour/ crackery grape "pizza". Medium bodied, diluted still-developing kefir-like texture with lowish carbonation. Memories of cherries like an older krieken lambic with stones and almonds, rosewater, pickling (!) spices.The aroma was quite funky with no real suggestion of sourness, but the taste has modest but persistent sourness yet little funk apart from some strange spice notes towards the end. Almost a botrytis wine aftertaste with almost none of the sweetness. Yeah, pretty amazing.

Bottle. Mostly clear orange with a large white head. Aroma of lemon pudding, crackers, honey, tea, white pepper. Light bodied. Soft and doughy at first with honey, moving towards mild bitterness and spices at the end. Then there’s a bit much tea and a metallic touch that’s not so welcome. On the other hand the tea is drying. A pretty engaging drop.
