Draught @ Churchkey, Washington, DC. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and yeast and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and malt and touches of hops and yeast. Hints of dark chocolate. Roasty afteraste with estsry and coffeelike notes. Decent.

Tap into a shotglass showing well filtered caramel orange with white foam lacing. The nose shows light orange peel. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of strong pine resin with strong IPA bitterness with a moderate zesty spiciness.

On tap at Pony Bar 10th Ave, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out tropical fruits and citrus hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with tropical fruits, piney hops and a lightly sweet cereal malt base. Lots of fruitiness on the finish, without being too sweet. Very nice.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog Slightly hazy golden with a decent sized bubbly white head that dissipates slowly. Juicy tropical fruity resinous pine earthy hop on the nose with a faint crackery pilsner maltiness underneath. Big resin pine and earthy hop flavor, moderate alcohol with some fruit and light sweet pilsner malt. The alcohol heat is a bit distracting, but overall this is a pretty tasty hoppy beer.
