Bottle shared at Leightons gaff , 19/09/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A reddy amber coloured pour with a a halo of off white head. Aroma is sweet burnt toffee, maple, alcohol, apple. Flavour is composed of sweet sticky toffee, burnt sugars, caramel, apple, maple, grassy.. Palate is sticky, moderate carbonation, . Boozy. Lingering hot alcohol.

Pours an ever so slightly hazy amber from a bottle, coppery notes. White head dissipates to a thin layer, but lots of lacing. Aroma is a very nice mix of subtle tropical fruit, pine, and a bit of citrus. Flavor is not hit you over the head hoppy, but sneak up on you and give you a bear hug hoppy. Is there a nice, light caramel "malt backbone" you ask? Yes, yes there is. Very good beer all around.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Gary! Pours clear, deep ruby with a creamy, off-white head. Rich bready malts in the nose, toffee, ripe fruits, berries. Medium to big sweet flavour with lots of gooey fruits, berries, creamy caramel, light earthy bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warm finish with lots of gooey ripe fruits, berries, toffee, bread. Great stuff. Nice depth. Good punch but still nice and drinkable.

Bottle split at Bespin, thanks to Leighton, 19/09/16. Rich amber to copper with a decent light beige cap. Nose is fruit cake, spice, toffee melt, dates, prunes, earthy, light booze. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, toffee, fruit cake, brown sugars, light spice, dates. Full body, fine carbonation - fairly light and airy for the ABV, light boost in the close. Decent enough easy drinking BW.

Bottle thanks to LKS. It pours clear deep red - brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, toasty brown bread, resinous, leather, toffee, dried fruits, wood and umami. The taste is dry, wood, sticky, leather, resinous, leather, toffee, dried fruits, toasty brown sugar, light spice and earth with a smooth, warming finish. Full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit sweet and boozy, but overall ok.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Clear golden orange with 1-2 fingers of off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, floral notes, garlic and onion, light alcohol. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, floral notes, garlic and onion, some malt. Medium body with a dry finish.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Craft Beer Cellar (Amesbury). Unclear golden color with an orange hue, thick full white head. Aroma is mild floral hops followed by tropical fruit and mild resin. The aroma gives great promise to this brew.
Happily the great aroma translates into great flavor. The hops are bold and alive. The body doesn’t seem light like a lager at all. It drinks like a double IPA. The tropical fruit and floral hops hit the palate upfront with a strong resin bitterness that lingers for a good while after the sip. The only flaw is Alcohol is noticeable as it warms.
The medium body and strong hop profile makes me believe that I am drinking and Imperial IPA. Even if lager yeast is known, I couldn’t tell it in a blind taste test. I mean after all, what the hell is a Double IPL? New England residents, grab this before it is gone.

12oz bottle pours out a copper amber topped with a sand head. Nose is sweet malts toffee caramel maple syrup and rich malts. Taste is more of the heavy rich malts caramel toffee maple sweetness and a nice end.
