OCB has been hitting, hopping and dosing brews with creativity since acid-washed jeans were hip — throwing a bit of kind into the kettle whenever possible. Look for our hop-soaked ales and delicious lagers around New England and the mid-Atlantic.

Acquired by Long Trail in 2010 with the brewing facility eventually sold to Whistle Pig. Currently operating as a brand owned and marketed by Harpoon.

Cask. Gravity dispense. Mule Bar, Winooski, VT. Nearly black. No head. Nose has savoury smoke. Charred wood. Grilled bacon fat. Some dark chocolate. Chocolate ice cream. Taste is chewy, chocolatey, tarry sweet. Lots of fatty bitterness (which has never been a real thing, probably). Slick, silky mouthfeel. Way too warm, mind you. Cask shouldn’t mean hot and bollocksed! Fruity, chocolatey bitter finish. Very nice.

Fresh can(9/30/16) thanks Willrunforbeeron this share. Aroma is mild caramel, grapefruit, earthy floralness.

Flavor is pretty much classic IPA. Grapefruit, caramel malty base, floral and light pine Bitterness. Pretty good but not breaking my neck to drink more of it.

12 oz can from Milk and Hops-Chelsea. Slightly hazed orange pour with a frothy foam of off-white head and some heavy lacework. Resiny and fruity hops, orange, grapefruit, and pine. Some melon. Gets dry quick, and finishes long and bitter. As a certain terrible Presidential candidate would say, it's bigly dry. Pretty good.

Bottle, deep copper color with a small thin beige head. Light carmelized malt flavors and aromas. Very faint maple and softly bittered. Smooth and deceptive for 10% +

Pale with an ever so slight perfume nose. First taste is so bitter and so difficult, its a knock in the head. Strongly astringent at times. In the session these effects just keep pumping. Typical volatile higher alky astringent brew, whew.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention craters and recedes leaving soapy lacing. Sour citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Hot caramel and papaya upfront turning to hot resin and pith in the lasting finish.

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and soft, very mild carbonation. Soft smooth malts, little malt cream. Modest and sweetish dried fruits. Smooth and warming finish. Not bad, but lacks maturity.
