Bottle from the Beer Store Nashua. Mostly clear deep golden color with a frothy bubbly bone white head that persists forever. Grapefruit with a hint of lemon, apricot and a hint of pine with a toffee malt in the distance. The flavor is bitter pith with more grapefruit than anything else. Bits of caramel and toffee maltiness with a hint of aspirin. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Some harsh bitterness in the flavor but still a drinkable brew.

This was poured into a tulip because of the \"Belgian twist\" on the style.
The appearance was a glossy orange to hazy yellow. A decent transparency allows some floaties to be shown roaming throughout the body.
The smell takes the big burst of clementine and balances it with a slight coriander. Refreshing lemon also plays a nice backup as well.
The taste is balanced from the spice to the sweet and builds up a decent little kick of citrus in the finish. There’s no aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation is fulfilling as an AIPA and balances decently to the Belgian side of the spicy build-up. Adequate harshness with a wet refreshing glance over my tongue.
Overall, what a nice crisp refreshing take on an AIPA to brighten to a slight Belgian style. I’d have this again and would love to have with some grilled swordfish or tuna steaks

Bottle. An unclear, dark amber to copper colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is very bready, like Danish rye bread, with some caramel and a little fruity touch. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, rather dry, with flavors of bread, toffee and a generic fruityness. Some dried fruits and bitterness. Long caramel flavor with bread and some bitterness. Rather boring this one, and it needs a few sips to feel pleasant. 150608

Pale yellow appearance. 1 finger head. Smells like a faint sweet clementine but not in a big way. Very decent sharp mouthfeel. Good orange peel. Some pine needle but not overwhelming.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with lots of unflocculated sediment, decent white head with lots of lacing. So, a few hours ago I had a Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ which was treating me right in a lot of ways: floral/fruity hops, not overpowering bitterness, high gravity, good balance. This beer doesn’t hit on those levels, although the gravity is good and not hit you over the head. Aroma is like smelling someone’s orange pith from across the room, yeah you notice it, but so what? Appearance, already talked about it yo. Taste is rather one-dimensional lemon-soapy bitterness. Okay beer, probably should’ve drunk these two beers in the opposite order.
