A taster at Dominion Wine and Beer. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of citrus with some minty notes. Bitter finish.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated within less than about forty seconds leaving a light lacing roaming all about.
The smell had a sweet to tangy to bitter grapefruit gracefully touching my nose with some bitter lemon rind, fresh and full, bright and somewhat grassy.
The taste was bittersweet thoroughly balancing the bitter citrus hops to the sweet grassy hops. A light sweet dry citrus aftertaste leads to a quick dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation comes off semi-harsh and leaves a dry bitter texture rolling over my tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good AIPA. Glad to see Otter Creek has stepped up their game since I got back to the East Coast.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/6/2014. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready rye malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine, citrus rind, and spicy rye bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, light caramel, spicy rye bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready rye malt flavors; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent rye IPA. All around great complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready rye malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

The smell had a nice balanced blend of sweet citrus over top of a light grapefruit, fresh and bright with a light grassiness coming in and out.
The taste was bittersweet thoroughly balancing a crisp light spice into the mix. A sweet to lightly spiced aftertaste leads to a decent balanced dry to wet finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, small white head dissipates to a ring leaving decent lacing. Aroma is Citra - i get it as buttery tropical dank and fruity, mango and guava. Flavor is light sweet and light plus bitter, muted citra hoppy flavors, a bit of underlying honey. Medium body, lingering bitterness. Pretty solid.

Pours a hazy dark straw from a bottle, aroma is almost a pure hit of citra, flavor is an immensely bitter and floral/piney astringency, very good very hoppy. Good beer.

Bottled sample. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical pine, floral, resin hops, pale malt. The taste is tropical hops, canned fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.
