Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.
With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

Tap @ Bittles Bar, Belfast, pint shared with Niilstrong. Clear golden color, medium to full sized long lasting white head. Aroma is lightly malts, lovely hoppy, tropical fruits, lightly grapefruit. Awesome! Tastes just as good: hops, fruity, moderately bitter. Very nice! Can easily chug a pint of this.

Bottle shared by Beersiveknown @ tasting at his place. Huge thanks Steve! Hazy pinkish orange color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, light tart, very dry finish, slight raspberry, oak wood. A bit highly carbonated but quite ok.

Lively, opaque brown beer with a fizzy head that dissipates quite quickly. Aroma is light, bitter malt and a dash of coffee. Flavour is rich, malty chocolate, a bit of sugar sweetnes. Becomes a touch drier in the aftertaste. Doesn’t have the creaminess of some milk stouts because it’s lively but at 4.5% I could happily sit and drink this for a session.

Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [240217]
Golden amber, soft haze, thin bubbly head
Aroma of tart dull lemon, hint of sweet fruit, not much going on
Taste of fairly tart lemon fruit acid, some vague fruit in there, very light pale malt base, no rhubarb, no sloe, almost like a bland lager with fruit acids thrown in.
Palate - Medium carb, light body, acidic. Finish is dry, light fruit, dull acidic lemon
Overall - Just tart acid, dab of fruit, found this boring tbh. Disappointing collab - they should have done a stout

Draught at pub in Sligo. A very tasty beer that just loses it in the aftertaste which is far too bitter.
