Sampled at Van Moll Brewpub shared with Ferris. Dark brown to black color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, barrel aging for sure, malt bitter, some roast, roast bitter. Ok stout.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, whisky, smoke, liquorice. Taste has all this and light spice too. Long finish. Good.

Tap. Friends of Ham, Leeds. Fashionably hazy, deep gold. Film of white head. Nose has grainy malts. Orange rind and pith. Some strawberry hop. Notes of pine needle and minty toffee. Taste is pithy and citrus oil bitter. Clean mouthfeel. Fine, sharp carbonation. Dries out somewhat towards the end. Nice and clean.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - smoke and chocolate. Whisky edge to it. Dried fruits. Taste - more chocolate, sweet wood spice and whisky. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture. Long elegant finish. Overall - really good.

fles, 0,5L, roze etiket, double ipa, schenkt gouden met witte kraag. aroma van veel frisse hop, citrus, mandarijn, den, sinaasappel, gras, lichte hars. Smaken van grapefruit, redelijk bitter, redelijk kruidig door de hop, grassig, mango, sinaasappel, kruidig, citrus, tropisch fruit. verder ok. maar ben niet zo’n hele fan van deze op, die vrij lang blijft aanhouden en na een tijdje wat onaangenaam begint te worden, door het wat grassige/kruiden/paarden karakter.

Bottle from Tall Boys Beer Market, Leeds. Pours clear gold colour with a lasting off white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, hop, light malt, caramel, and citrus. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft to average carbonation. Finish is bitter and tropical. Good beer.

Palate - Medium carb, too fizzy for the style, thin to medium body, soft sweet, very light bitter, tad of sharp acidity. Finish as main flavour slight brown bread
Overall - Too fizzy. This is a brown bitter, not a porter at all. €5.80/pt for a 4% brown bitter is a joke

Bottled@Post-PBF Lost-Box Hotel Room tasting. Ambery red colour with a small white head. aroma is fruity and wooden with some mild sour berries. Flavour is rather fruity with sour and tart wood to go along with it.

Bottled@Post-PBF Lost-Box Hotel Room tasting. Ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is toasted, mild toffee, some earth and raisins with some slight peated notes. Flavour is big time boozy raisin sweetness, alcohol, some toffee and mild toasted notes. Yet quite tasty.
