Description
We’ve always relied on our wits to give us an edge. We tried things others wouldn’t and refused to let being smaller keep us from thinking big. To become masters of our craft, we had to be pretty darned crafty. This spirit is at the heart of everything we do—and in every drop we brew.

Pours a clean slightly-darker amber colour with a frothy-creamy beige head, good stay and some very nice lace. Aromas of freshly grounded coffee over roasted, caramel and fruity malts. Seems like this will be sweet, but the hops help this not be that way. Coffee notes, chocolate, roasted malt and good bitterness and dryness in the finish. Quite a decent coffee ale.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of light caramel malt with subtle coffee flavours is OK. Taste is also a mix of faint coffee flavours with some light caramelized malt with a dry finish. Body is light with good carbonation. Not great but not bad either and probably one of the best Sleeman beer that I have tried.

Beautiful wooden box with different old-school brown bottle inside. Pours a clean copper colour with amber highlights. The beige frothy head is big, long lasting with thick bubbly-creamy lacing. Cereal grain smell with caramel malt sweetness and some spices. The taste shows some light toasted, roasted malts in the finish, lingering some light burnt wood. The taste is thankfully not as sweet as the nose gives out to be. Caramel again, but with hints of bananas, so wheat in here maybe. Light hops blending things a little. Was expecting like Cooper's Sparkling Ale, but no. Kind of a rich amber-spiced-wheat beer. Not bad, but not one I would have again. Nice to try though, an older recipe like this.

Part of their Beer Crate selection pack for summer 2018. Pours a clean golden colour with a big frothy warm cap, very long lasting with some patchy lace. Fresh smelling hops with some citrus notes and grassiness. The mouthfeel is dry and not heavy, so good for summer. Lots of grass in the taste with some decent bitterness lingering. Some mild caramel hints. Quite a nice summer IPA that I can see come back next year.

Bottle at my Aunt’s place, I thought I’d already rated this. Light Amber Brown in cooor with a grainy sweet lightly honeyed aroma. Medium bodied, grainy sweet and honey graham. Too gassy though but otherwise ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mine was pretty hazy from the clouds at the bottom (maybe kept too long). Amber colour, off-white cap, almost creamy with decent stay and lacing. Caramel malt aromas with biscuit notes, light fruitiness and just a tad of sweetness from the maple. This is close to the same for the taste. Kind of their amber beer with just a touch of maple, which some might not know it is there - if not seeing the label. And more biscuit malts.
