GBBF. A no show last year I seem to recall, good to catch up here. Hazy amber beer, small white head. Good palate - crisp with fine carbonation. A good creamy caramel malt backbone. Crisp minerals. Well balanced fresh hops - fresh grapefruit, orange and peach. Finishes with a carbonated sting in the tail. Refreshing! Good stuff!

(Draught at Klasterni Pivovar Strahov, Prague, 29 July 2011) Clear amber colour with a lasting off-white head. Fruity nose with dried apricots, orange peel, citrussy hops and hints of brewing house. Fruity, malty taste with notes of toast, orange peel, caramel and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some sweetness. Well balanced, tasty and very nice.

Keg at The Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, dark gold with a small, foamy white head. A lot of caramel and toasted malts on the nose with some piney hops. Medium sweet flavor, lots of toasted malts and sugars, touches of caramel, overripe citrus, pine, light grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Faint warming finish, oily and resinous bitterness, bread, mild caramel, some spicy hops, slight earth. Not bad. (September 2011, Score: 3.8)
Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 4 - London. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy, lightly yellowish head. Some bready malts, old pine, lightly toasted caramel, melon, papaya. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dry and bready on the finish, some lightly toasted malts, ripened citrus. So so. (August 2014, Score: 3.3)

Draught @ Klasterni Pivovar Strahov. Rated on 14.7.2009
Aroma has a lot of diacetyl and butter. Flavour has butter and diacetyl too and it is kind of harsh and stinging with sweet malt and hints of metal. This is definitely not my kind of beer or then I got my sample from a bad keg or tap.

Typical aroma to a hefe: a lot of banana, some wheat and yeast and hints of citrus. Flavour has banana, wheat and hints of yeast and spices. Good hefe, but a bit too sweet for me.
