Today David Sheppy the incumbent Master of Cider, applies his unrivalled knowledge and expertise from a lifetime of cider making to turn our home-grown apples into some of the finest and award winning ciders.
Fifteen of our 90 acres of orchards we planted with tradition standard apple trees. Eight acres of these are certified organic. The remaining 75 acres contain bush trees planted at between 200 and 300 trees per acre, so about 19,000 trees in total at Sheppy's.

Bottled. Pink colour with a small white head, which disappears fast. Arroma is raspberries, parfume, some herbs and mild earthy tones. Flavour is fruity, some raspberries, parfume and mild earthy tones. Mild tart wood too.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear gold. Aroma of accessible medium apple fruit, pleasantly sweet. Balanced flavour profile, gently sweet with juicy hints, perhaps a light woody hint, floral moments with a sticky finish. Has a backsweetened feel, but overall a pleasant rounded cider.

Box @ Bath Cider House, Bath. Pours a misty yellow. Aroma of pleasantly sweet desert apple fruit, floral notes, some melon. Continues to taste with a nice natural fruitiness, soft tannic finish. Decent.

Bottle thanks to Sarah. A very clear petrol coloured pour with a fading white fizz. Aroma is semi sweet, decent fresh apple, white sugars. Juicy, pear. Flavour is composed of semi sweet. Crisp apple, zippy green apple, lemon twist,. Palate is semi sweet, tangy green apple, highish carbonation. Decent, refreshing stuff.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken (n/a dpt.). ABV is 0.5%. Clear and very pale straw colour, sparkling, no head. Aroma of cider apples and eating apples, a hint of sulphites. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of fresh apples, not too sweet. Some sulphites again. Fairly nice for a nearly n/a cider.

9/3/2023. Tap at Knight Life Taphouse, Poole. Pours clear pale gold with a minimally bubbly head. Aroma of sweet apple, caramel, apple pie, sugars. Quite heavy sweetness, light tangy tartness. Moderate body, oily, low carbonation. Dry slightly vinegary finish. Not bad.
