Bottle Cafe Le Paix, Poperinge, Belgium 27-06-07. This was described as a dryish and audaciously hoppy pale ale, which was pretty good although nowhere near as hoppy as stablemate XX Bitter. Still good hops on nose and some yeast with hops coming through in the mouth as well. A tidy bitterness that seemed to kick in again 10-20 seconds after the first hoppy flurry, this was one of the main interesting charactersitics of this beer. A very nice beer indeed.

Hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of lots of fruit and spice with some brown sugar. Sweet fruity flavor with some brown suar and spice.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Malt7y, bubblegum, estery aroma and flavor. Lingering malt with some metallic notes, spice, and yeast. medium body - maybe a bit thin. Don’t bother.

Bottle 75cl @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Hazy medium red color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing light pink / off-white head. Aroma is light sour / fruity sweet, cherry. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy acidic with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. Nice balanced sourness ;o))

Süßer Kirschgeruch, mild. Sehr milder, etwas muffiger Antrunk. Später leicht säuerlich und deutlich kirschiger. Der Nachgeschmack wird ruppig eingeleitet, verhalten sauer und mittelfruchtig ist er anschließend. Bis hierhin ist das Bier sehr mild, der nun folgende Kirschton ist der Stärkste. Hazy pink/red color, short head. Aroma of kriek, marzipan, tart. Slight sweet taste, quite tart, fruity, some oak wood. Quite sticky palate. Nice kriek.

Bottle: Pours a hazy red with a small pinkish head. Nose is sour and tart, musty fruitiness. Taste is just right of the kriek with a nice pucker factor. Very tasty.

750 Bottle pours a very cloudy deep red witha huge thick light pink head and thick sheeting lacing. Nice classic fruit lambic musty aroma. Flavor is big time tart and dry but enough sour cherry flavor along with it. Big full sour cherry flavor. Long ingering dry acidic trailer that leaves your teeth squeeking. Would not have guessed 7% ABV. Thanks to Jake65 for sharing this with us tonight.

Bottle Pours out a nice dark pink. A GREAT fruit aroma. WOW what a great tast. Nice and sour along with tart fruit. Very good. Thanks Jake65 for this one.

Bottle courtesy of thewolf: Poured a light cloudy golden color ale with a huge foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of Brett is dominating with some Belgian malt and ester notes. Taste is also dominated by sour notes from what appears to be Brett as well as a subtle spices mix and a refreshing slightly hoppy ending. Body is quite full with no noticeable filtration and alcohol was not discernable. Another great beer from De Ranke and I would wish they would distribute more widely.

Taste is dominated by the yeast at the beginning and then some spices, which are hard to distinguish with a funky finish. Another fine funky gem from de Ranke.
