Tap at prael amsterdam as Prael Nelis, amber beer, small head. Aroma is caramel, malt, sweet. Taste is the same, fruity, malt, caramel, ok
Tap @ De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Unclear amber body under a fine, tan head. Fine, but mild aroma of bacon and smoke. Taste is quite smooth malt, mild smoke and bacon. Nice but gentle.

Tap @ De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Clear amber body under a nice, tan head. Aroma of bread and caramel malt. Taste has a fine, smooth malt flavour with some caramel and bread. Low bitterness. Quite nice one without bringing anything extraordinary to the table.

On tap at De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. As Nelis. A malt forward beer with caramel, dried fruit and some dark bread notes. Quite dry. A nice one, probably best suited with some kind of food. 646414 251109

On tap at De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Gentle aroma with just a hint of smoke. Dried fruit, caramel. More smoke and smoked meat in the flavor. Decent bitterness too, and some piney notes. Quite nice this one, although a bit gentle for my preference. 646414 251109

Sample at Prael Amsterdam, dark brown beer, small head. Aromas is faint smoke, hint of malt. Tastes tart almost sour, malt, light smoke... weird, infected keg?

Backlog August 2006. Unclear golden body with some floaters under an off-white head. Aroma is malty with dry fruits, spices and alcohol. Tatse is sweet and malty with dry fruits, but still feels quite refreshing, some spicy belgium yeast, some fruity acidity and warming alcohol. Fine body with pleasant aftertaste. Nice, tasty and surprisingly easy drinklable this one.

Bottle on the train to A’dam. I admittedly went for a style tick with this one and so I was prepared that it’ll be mild indeed, but it was beyond my expectations honestly. Moderate fruity-flowery character, light body and carbo, super easy to drink.
