Description
The Brasserie Artésienne is a craft brewery created in August 2007 in Auchy les Mines. Its beers are always of high fermentation, which mature during a long aging period while respecting the northern brewing tradition. Most of our beers are made with regional raw materials (hops from the Flanders hops cooperative, malt with the "saveur en Nord" label).
Since the summer of 2014, it has been based in Haisnes, where all stages of manufacturing are carried out (creation of recipes, brewing, fermentation, storage, bottling, refermentation). Annual production is around 1,200 hl.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Hugh frothy white head slowly diminishing over an unclear yellow-gold coloured body. Fair lacing. Smell of ripe orange, yeast and alcohol. Sweet and bitter flavours of orange throughout added by wheat and yeast. Alcohol heat as well, but not too disturbing. Soft in the mouth. Fine bodied. Not bad at all (Tromsø 07.02.2016).

Bottle shared with friends. Slight hazy with some small particles floating around and some visible carbonation. Big fluffy white head. Fruity hops up front with some lime and pineapple, light hay, sweet malts, oats, fresh cardboard, bitter herbs, light soap, chalk. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel. Nice stuff.

Bottle brought by a friend, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, some stuff floating around, medium rocky head. Aroma of cow shit, farm, hay, grainy, slight grassy hop, salty and minerally. Slight bitter in taste, funky, bit salty. Clearly infected by some Brett. This is probably the beer that smelled like cow shit the most. Now I see what some winemakers are talking about when they prefer not to have Brett in their wine.

Entre pajiza y dorada de escasa espuma y mínimamente nebulosa. Aroma citrico con algo de levadura. En boca es ligera y con gas bien presente. El sabor falla, con un sabor totalmente medicinal nada agradable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
