Description
The Brasserie Artésienne is a craft brewery created in August 2007 in Auchy les Mines. Its beers are always of high fermentation, which mature during a long aging period while respecting the northern brewing tradition. Most of our beers are made with regional raw materials (hops from the Flanders hops cooperative, malt with the "saveur en Nord" label).
Since the summer of 2014, it has been based in Haisnes, where all stages of manufacturing are carried out (creation of recipes, brewing, fermentation, storage, bottling, refermentation). Annual production is around 1,200 hl.

Backlog August 2013. Unclear yellow orange body under an OK white head. Aroma is spicy and a bit soapy. Taste has light malt, spicy, yeast, some fruit and moderate bitterness. Thin body and same aftertaste. Quie messy, did not like this one.

25cl draught pour at the weekly Thursday market, Berck-Sur-Mer. Pours a slightly unclear blonde, pure white head. Aroma brings a light rum influence wafting above a moderately sweet blonde character, continuing to taste with a complimentary rum side which is just enough. Ok.

Bottle. Interesting fact: label shows 6% vol/7% vol/8.5% vol... Color: Hazy brownish red, off-white head. Aroma: Raspberry, red fruit. Taste: Flowery notes, raspberry, some red berries, strawberries, hoppy backbone. What to say more about this beer? Maybe sounds interesting but is quite dull. Moderate sweet, light bitterness, very light tartness. Medium body, just below average carbonation.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is tart citrus with notes of zesty lemon, orange, light creamy malt, touch of yeast. Flavour is tart and sourish, not sure if this is intentional? Body is medium with low carbonation. Seems strange and flawed.

75cl bottle on the train from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth on Saturday 27th April 2024, Jolly Boys Outing! Took my me, bought in some random French hypermarket. It poured a slightly hazed golden orange and had a decent enough flavours without blowing my socks off.
