Description
It was in 1943 that the history of the Fournier family and of cider began. On the southern borders of Normandy, in the land of the Dukes of Alençon, the reliefs offer landscapes of solid hills interspersed with green valleys. Apple and pear trees bloom on the hillsides stretched out in the sun.
It is in this environment that Cidres Fournier cultivates their orchards of tall apple trees. The selected fruit varieties favor quality over yield. This is the spirit that drives Fournier Ciders in its development and the qualitative control of its growth: love of the land, orchards, fruit and a well-made product.
In 1996 company registration. Rocation of the premises of the distillery activity of M.Fernand in Saint Pierre des Nids for reasons of exploitation rights by the SARL Fournier Frères. chaired by Messrs Jean-Pierre and Fernand Fournier. The successful association of two brothers with complementary skills, especially after several years of training in the cider industry, creation and development of the range of cider products in bottles
In 2013 extension of orchards, +10 hectares planted. Creation of the Fournier brand.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Extremely pale light yellow with a small white head that went away fast. Strong, pungent pear and cork in the nose. Very sweet but pleasant pear taste. A nice drink even if it isn’t complex.

Bottle. Quite a pleasant surprise for me: Barnyardy and wooden dry pear aroma. Light hazy green hue with light champagne carbonation. Dry fruityness, light wood and earth with enough fruitsugar in the finish to balance it off. Dry, yet full mouthfeel, light sparkly. A brilliant treat, full of flavor, yet low on alcohol.
