16 fl oz can (473 ml) from Beer52. Murky lemon pour, white topping. The nose is a grapefruit fronted citrus aroma, taste also citrus like with grapefruit flavours to the fore. Too much citrus for my palate to be honest.

Can from Beer52. Black with middling tan head and a slight but prickly fizz which interferes with the otherwise very smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate and coffee and soot and just a touch of berries. Pretty decent.

[12oz can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading chocolate coloured head; aroma of oats and chocolate; sweet chocolate taste with a pleasant dry oatmeal body; and a somewhat porridgy finish.

Tight bubbly white head stayed on a hazy dark golden still body. Orange, malt & resin aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a clean back. Bitter pith, orange, resin, malt pine & hoppy tastes with a long tangy finish. Straight up West Coast.

Creamy tan head left a thin dark brown cover. Malt & tannin aroma. Medium bodied, creamy on the front - tingly on the back with a dry clean aft. Roasted, malts, chocolate, & raisin tastes with coffee & vinous on the back. All goes together very nicely.

Quite hazy golden and peach coloured body with a nice, thick, four to five centimetre tall rich tan head. Aroma of grass, hay, flowers, dry malt, pepper and a dash of citrusey hops that show a soft, but large alpha acid presence. Light to Medium-bodied; Very dry, herbal and grassy flavours dominate with a big peppery bite and some supportive malt notes along with a dash of flowers and grain with an almost rye or specialty grain finish that shows more dry qualities than most on the style. Aftertaste shows the dry grass and hay first and foremost, but also some herbs and pepper towards the end with some lingering alcohol and alpha acids from the hops. Overall, a relatively balanced beer, with way more dry components than anything else, and definitely shows as an East Coast IPA, but not a bad one. Not worth trying to find as there are too many other beers in the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Trader Joe's in Newport News, Virginia on 17-November-2019 for US$2,00 sampled at home in Washington on 26-March-2020.
