15/11/2013 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Ambrata, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianco-sporca leggera e poco persistente. Al naso sentori di luppolo e malto, note agrumate, di limone. In bocca è molto amara, ha un attacco di malto importante e un finale amaro lungo e persistente, l’alcol è nascosto abbastanza bene. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Discreta, anche se non è proprio lo stile di birra che preferisco.

SELL BY 26.05.14 - Pours hazy yellowish orange with a small white head. Aroma of tart orange juice, loads of grassy hops, hints of citrus and sweet caramely notes. Taste is tartish with loads of orange peel, zesty fruits, funky bitterness and lemon. Finish is tart, bitter, sweetish and malty with massive amounts of orange peel. Quite strange and untypical hop juice, but somehow still tasty.

[10/16/13] Draught at Brasserie 4:20 in Rome. Slightly hazy deep golden-copper. Aroma of piney and “green” hops, a bit fruity. Flavor has some sweetish chewy maltiness and pleasant piney hops, a bit fruity, with moderate bitterness. Medium-bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Nice and easy-drinking.

[10/15/13] Draught at Brasserie 4:20 in Rome. Murky orange with a white head. Aroma of “green”, weedy and leafy hops. Bitter flavor of “green” leafy hops and faint malty sweetness. Medium-bodied, a bit over-carbonated.

13/10/2013 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Arancia, viva, schiuma leggera ma persistente. Al naso una bella botta di luppolo, intensissima, sentori agrumati, di resina, leggermente fruttati (pesca) e floreali. In bocca è amara senza compromessi, estrema, lunga e persistente, secca. Corpo leggero, buona carbonazione. Bomba di luppolo senza se e senza ma.

Wow!!!! Insanely hoppy and extreme imperial stout. Awesome stuff.

01/08/2013 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Dorata viva, appena torbida, schiuma bianca abbondante e di media persistenza. L’aroma è molto intenso e decisamente inusuale per una pils, sentori agrumati e di lime, qualche nota di frutta tropicale. In bocca ha un corpo leggermente superiore alle attese, ha solo delle vaghe riminescenze di una pils.

02/11/2012 Brasserie 4.20 (tap). Rossa, viva, limpidissima, schiuma praticamente assente. Al naso sentori di lamponi, lieviti selvatici, leggero acetico. In bocca all’attacco è moderatamente dolce, lamponi e frutta rossa, quindi lieviti, e un acetico netto che brucia in gola a lungo. Corpo medio, praticamente piatta. Non male, ma andrebbe rifinito un po’.

16/12/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (37 months old, on tap). Bevuta al Sour Winter Festival. Dorata, brillante, con riflessi ambrati chiari, schiuma assente. Aroma stranissimo, acido con note torbate, di gomma bruciata e gas, un po’ stridenti tra loro. In bocca è migliore, la commistione tra acido e torbato risulta curiosa, anche se non perfettamente riuscita. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Strana, ma comunque interessante.
