Tap, at the brewery. Super hazy, milkshake yellow. Thin, tight, sticky, white head. Nose has a pile of ripe mango, candied citrus, and slick resin, all really well balanced. Taste is fresh, citrusy, pulpy sweet, with a hop oil bitterness that works well. Creamy, massaging mouthfeel. ABV is totally hidden. Soft, juicy, pulpy bitter finish. Wow.

Tap, at the brewery. Milky, dark yellow. Thin, super dense, clingy, white head. These Foam beers look great. Nose has mango and peach, in spades. Some lemon. Some pine needle. Creamy, vanilla malts. Smells great. Taste is soft, juicy bitter. Soft sweetness. Mouthfeel is creamy and soft. Really easy drinking. Soft, juicy, fruity bitter finish. Outstanding.

Tap, at the brewery. Bright orange. Very hazy. Foamy, lasting, white head. Nose has soft banana and clove. Hint of white pepper. Some herby, floral notes. Taste has a light, floral sweetness. Some dryness. Mouthfeel is a little soapy. More of the floral thing on the finish. Decent enough, although a bit soapy.

Pours hazy pear into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to leave soapy lacing. Passionfruit, yeast and resin aromas. Soft and thin with dry guava and passionfruit upfront turning to dusty resin and pith in the lasting finish.

750mL growler filled 10/14/16 and shared by Blisscent on 10/21/16.
Strong haziness to this drab, bronze-golden body. White head atop is full and shows good retention.
Citrus in the nose is followed by softer tropical fruits. Peachy and mango-heavy, it returns to the citrus on the finish, lending white grapefruit and lemon. Cracker and biscuit malts behind are quite sparse and there is only a touch of honey for sweetness. Clean and with no alcohol. Maybe a touch of light, grapefruit-like resin.
Very dry with a soft, malty texture and with grainy, biscuity notes and wheat softness as well. The citrus outdoes the juicier tropical notes, and there’s a bit of huskiness on the finish. Nectarine, mango, grapefruit and orange dominate, with moderate bitterness and tons of dry grapefruit rind character. A bit more malt sweetness would work wonders here. Low, slightly loose carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.

Draught at Return of the Belgian Beer Fest, 9/17/16.
Pale, blonde-golden body, flaxen-hued and with a light haziness and large, well-retained, white head.
After trying all of their previous sours and saisons, most of which (excepting Saison de Foam 2.0) were much more in the American sour vein, I was very surprised to smell a soft, sublime, understated, funky, plastery nose with light suggestions of peach (very highly-macerated, leaving lots of pit and skin-like character) and very nicely developed brett (light band-aid, soft guava-lime) and lactic notes. No alcohol or flaw and full of light pepper and light dough-biscuit.
The flavor is awash in tartness, peach pit and funky, bright, fruity and band-aid-laden brett notes. Ultra-soft, light lactic acid rounds out the opening flavor and it transitions in to a lightly doughy-biscuity, finely carbonated texture with strong attenuation and light honey suggestions. Pepper and apple-strawberry-melon esters abound giving it very strong traditional qualities while cobwebby funk, peach and brett linger on the finish with light lactic character, as well. It’s like one part American Sour, one part Belgian Saison and one part Lambic. Stunning and my favorite beer of the fest.

Flip top growler thanks to Steve. Pours out a hazy pale straw topped with a small head. Nose is great tropical fruit notes almost like fruit loops. Taste is more of the tropical fruit notes and nice sweetness and some grapefruit pithy notes.

Draught at the BA Belgian Fest on 9/17/16.
Lightly hazy, marmalade-golden body is topped by a small, white head showing moderate retention.
Brett is poignantly bright in the nose, with lime, lemon, moderate floral/perfume-like notes and a substantial malt base behind it with lots of grain and cracker. Good fruitiness, though it’s not intensely estery/overdone with brett gone wild. Very sniffable and maybe on the simple side, but you certainly can’t argue with the pleasant simplicity of brett done well.
In the mouth, it shows a substantial, yet dry body, with biscuit and wheat-like notes backing lime and guava-like brett. Lightly fruity and gently tart, with a light graininess on the end and hints of honeysuckle. Fairly tight, somewhat expansive carbonation softens as it breathes. No alcohol or flaw. Simple, flavorful, elegant.
