Can shared with the brew crew. Murky golden pour with a white head. Lots of citruses, some stone fruits, lightly dank, sweet candy. Vague notes of oxidization show up, but nothing too bad. Heavy, fairly on the sweeter side. Decent.

On tap. Pours gold with light head. Aromas of gooseberries and other tart berries, sharp wheaty malts and a bit of farmyard. Flavors follow same with additional bitter lemon. Not very complex, but fairly smooth and refreshing.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente. Il colore è ambrato carico. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra impegnativa a causa dell'elevato livello alcolico. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di caramello, miele, frutta secca, pane cotto di recente, frutta candita, agrumi e mela.

Il naso viene catturato dal luppolo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono anche la forma della frizzantezza, con carbonazione morbida e persistente. Il colore è giallo paglierino. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità Sul tetto della bocca si attestano indizi di zuccherino, miele, frutta secca, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas e arancia rossa.

Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, fruity notes, light chocolate, coffee, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Definitely on the roasty coffee side of Black IPA, like a hoppy Porter.

Bottle at De Koffer, Groningen. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, herbal tea notes, bit spicy. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate roasty bitter finish. Body is medium. Didn’t really get any Bergamot, but the tea leaves are there. I generally love Earl Grey tea in beer and this combination with Stout didn’t disappoint.
