Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente. Il colore è ambrato carico. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra impegnativa a causa dell'elevato livello alcolico. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di caramello, miele, frutta secca, pane cotto di recente, frutta candita, agrumi e mela.

Il naso viene catturato dal luppolo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono anche la forma della frizzantezza, con carbonazione morbida e persistente. Il colore è giallo paglierino. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità Sul tetto della bocca si attestano indizi di zuccherino, miele, frutta secca, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas e arancia rossa.

Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, fruity notes, light chocolate, coffee, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Definitely on the roasty coffee side of Black IPA, like a hoppy Porter.

Bottle at De Koffer, Groningen. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, herbal tea notes, bit spicy. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate roasty bitter finish. Body is medium. Didn’t really get any Bergamot, but the tea leaves are there. I generally love Earl Grey tea in beer and this combination with Stout didn’t disappoint.

Bottle at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht. Aroma is very malty for an IIPA with sweetish ripe fruits and caramel, mild hoppy. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Decent beer, but I like my IIPA a lot more refreshing and hoppy.

A small bottle from the off-licence opposite the fire station in Jing Mei. Aroma: cheap strawberry jam. Appearance: opaque copper, one finger tan bubbles. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, average carbonation; finish is long and tart, borderline sour. Taste: lightly sweet; the label mentions passion fruit and mango, I get underripe generic citrus fruit. I didn't really enjoy this one.

Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è intenso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta in bocca l'aroma di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas, mango, frutta tropicale, marmellata di arance, frutto della passione, mandarino e albicocca.
