Last one from their 4-pack Rebooted Vol.2. Pours a dark brown colour with a fizzy deep brown head that dissipates quickly leaving nothing but the brew. Chocolate notes in the nose with roasted malts and something quite different. Almost like soy sauce. This transfers a little to the taste, but not as much. More like roasted malts mostly with hints cocoa. Some decent hops in the finish. Flat-ish, not really appealing for the style.

Pours a slight hazed golden colour with spice particles, a warm cap, good stay and some foamy lace. The aromas are kind of weird with the mix of Saison yeast and rhubarb. Light plastic notes ?? The taste has this weirdness as well. Not sure what it is, but the yeast does not match the fruitiness. Was expecting awesomeness as I like Saison and fruity beers, but this not something that works. Sadly.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and light lacing. Aroma of black chocolate with some vanilla and light coco. Taste is also a well balanced mix of coco with vanilla, bourbon with some light spices notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Very well balanced with great dessert-like flavours.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large deep brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some bourbon, vanilla and black chocolate with light and very subtle notes of star anise. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with some sweet residual sugar notes, some vanilla and bourbon notes with some super subtle star anise notes. Body is full with somewhat of a creamy texture with good carbonation and light subtle warming alcohol notes. Very well brewed and quite enjoyable but star anise is more subtle then I was expecting.

Tap at Loaded Pierogie. A cloudy mellow honey gold with a filly white head and big citrusy bouquet. Medium bodied and pine and citrus. Classic IPA that while pedestrian is well executed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light bitter notes with some bourbon, vanilla and oak notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of roasted malt with some bitter roasted malt notes, some residual sugar with some bourbon notes and light vanilla with oak notes also apparent. Pours a dark brown colour with ruby-prune highlights and a big frothy-creamy beige head, long lasting with some nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate at first, with some dark fruits, hints of coffee, nuttiness coming out eventually. The taste is where the hops appear and are quite strong over the roasted malts. Still, some decent fruitiness in the background. A very bitter finish. Pretty nice all-around if you like super hoppy brown ales that are imperial.
