Draught at Porter & Sons, small bibbly head, hazy palish yellow color, aroma of pine, citrus and wood, lemon flavor with very light bread, empathic sourness, light bitterness. Very nice.

Borefts VIII. Day 2. Bottle. Thanks to Fonefan. Hazy amber beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with reasonable fine carbonation. Airy malts, mildly sweet. Trace of orangey hop. Dro floral finish. It’s a bit lame really.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Berkeley. It pours black with a dark brown, fizzy head. The aroma is hard roasted and acidic with hints of dark fruit. The flavor has a little acid and lots of dirty roasted malt. Somewhat cola-like. Some burnt sugar and dark fruit in the finish. Way too much black malt for my tastes. The mouth feel borders on acrid. High, fizzy carbonation and a light to medium body. Meh.

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, sweet hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel - toffee, sweet malt, hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20161008] 6-3-6-3-12
