Description
You’re probably here for the stouts, that’s what we are most known for. There’s no line we won’t cross in that area, and we appreciate the love we receive for our interpretations of that style. With beer, you’re always learning, experimenting, and tweaking something. We consider our beers forward thinking, and we don’t always brew to style. Somehow we won a gold medal for our pilsner though, so we can follow the rules if we want to.
We don’t intend on being a one-note brewery and are constantly pushing ourselves to do more. At any given time our tap list will feature a variety of styles, stouts, and IPAs being more common, but we make a lot of sours and porters as well. We don’t serve flights but do have 5oz. pours. Our staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect beer for your taste.

5oz draft @ Angry Chair.

Growler at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is sweet malt tempered with rich roast, biscuit, spice, chocolate. Taste comprises rich roast maltings, toffee fudge, dark chocolate, molasses, sweet licks. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough impy, not a huge amount of complexity but an easy drinker with a good balance and never too sweet.

Presumably this is a first batch 22oz bottle (numbered 18/27) courtesy of the ever generous and amazing fishingnet, thanks Ben. It pours with a slightly hazy gold body that supports a full near white head of foam. The aroma is smooth and soft yet peppy too where there’s a light soured fruit note, guava goodness and a soft hint of sour mash yum. The taste is fruity, crisp, peppy, light, tart moldy and refreshing all at the same time. I get guava-y passion of Sea Bass fruit going on here as well as berry like passion fruit and a pleasing tart and sour mash bready sensation that just freshens the whole experience up. I could just drink a shit ton of this. Damn

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2015. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Floral and lightly grassy hops in the nose with nips of rye spice. Light-medium sweet flavor with piney hops, citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, more citrus, some bread. Very nice.
