Description
Good in brewing beer. Bad in writing bios. Madness from Budapest challenging almost everything you know about beer. Always flawless, always bold, never boring. Not necessary business-wise all the time, but setting the standards high for ourselves every time as we truly believe in the cliché that goes like ‘the way you do something is the way you do anything’.

Can from the brewery. Pours opaque golden with thicc white head. Nose is moderately fruity, but pretty held back altogether. Taste is somewhat fruity, lightly grassy with a pretty dry mouthfeel. Light and a tad empty body, soft to average carbo. Expected way more from the sabro-amarillo combo.

Tap at Mad. Pours hazy golden with white head. IT's pretty similar to the Idaho7 version, but has a distinct, grassy, perhaps a bit herbaly, lightly resinous bitterness to it on top of the sweet base that the other variant lacks.

Tap at Mad. Hazy yella pour, thin white head. Nose is floral and interestingly lightly spicy (I get something that resembles cinnamon but who knows). Taste is lightly tart, citrusy and then moderately sweet, fruity and floral. Closes with nicely balanced lightly bitter and somewhat sweet notes, has light, dry body and soft to average carbo.

Can. Deep, opaque golden pour, white head. It's somewhere between a hefe and american wheat ale, but not in a good way. A bit estery, a bit hoppy, but mosaic doesnt really shine through, a bit grainy, but quite messy altogether. Meh.

Growler from Mad, courtesy of the Mad Kert crew, huge thanks! pours hazy orange with white head. Nose is orange and grapefruit, citrus zest, light pine. Taste is ligh to medium bitterness, moderate sweetness in a nice balance, and I got light malty touches, big citric notes, some citrus zest again and a faint resinous character was there too. Closes with long lasting bittersweet finish, has medium to full body and soft carbonation. Tasty DIPA.

Tap at Mad, köszi Marci! Deep greenish blue colour, thin head. Nose is light sourness, a sweet touch, some banana here and there. Taste is sour up front, but almost immediately comes some sweetness from the big body (and perhaps from the lactose too). Passion fruit pops up, citric tartness too, perhaps banana as well if I look for it. No trace of the pineapple, the banana is super vague all the way through, no coconut either. Promised a lot, but barely delivers, more of a gimmick tbh.

Tap at Mad Kert. Semi-clear, deep golden, white head. Nose is hop-driven, mainly citruses pop up but there's a hint of noble hops too, also some vague malts. Taste is nicely balanced bittersweet, low malty sweetness backs up the hops that shine nicely, but are not at all overwhelming. I get citruses and grassy notes mainly. Light, crisp bodied with average carbonation, easy to drink.
