Tap at the Owl Farm, courtesy of mansquito. Deep brown pour with a thin head. Nose is a nice mix of funk and malts, showing dried fruits, biscuits and molasses. Taste is sweet upfront, showing biscuits, toffee, molasses and bread, but it’s also funky and slightly acidic, very well balanced all around. I love funky dark beers, and this is a great example why.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma is stone fruit/citrus/spice. Med plus body (due to great carbonation). Fruity but towards dry. Not very bitter. Flavor is peach/apricot, mango, melon, light spice. Malt is well subdued. Slight spice burn in the finish. Very good flavor.

750ml bottle at a share. Dark brown, khaki head. It's ok. Malt and red wine vinegar. Chewy malt. High carb. Ok. 6 4 6 2 11 Some folks really loved this, I thought it was fine.

Bottle shared with the boys. I was very much looking forward to this beer but oh boi, everything in there is shadowed by chlorophenols unfortunately, band aid leaves almost no space for the beer to show itself. It’s a shame.

Slight haze, med head. Med body, a touch of brett c, some nz hop, soft malts….not the most composed- this really feels like it needs to choose hop or funk and kind of chose neither.

Aromas are mildly sweet malt with a little citrus and maybe a touch of hops. Flavors are similar to nose, citrus comes out more, bittersweet with good carbonation. Decent beer. Nothing special but decent.
