Brewery draught, 2/2/23. Clear, dark mahogany with a light tan head showing low retention. Ruby/garnet highlights on the edges. Nose is an interesting mix of maple fermentation (almost a floral or vinous note) mixed with the nutty and spicy rye whiskey. Not raw/sharp with light caramel and a hint of roast behind it. Not boozey but with some strong vanilla and bourbon lingering. Nutty, slick, tannic and with some sweet nips of maple and vanilla. Strong bourbon, touch of alcohol and vinous maple. The Whistle Pig is awesome, though the malt is perhaps a touch overly attenuated/too-light-bodied for the alcohol and whiskey character. Hint of alcohol but it's not hot/sharp.

Brewery draught, 2/2/23. Clear ebony. Reddish hues on the edges. Small, tan head showing moderate-to-low retention. Dark roast and light vanilla in the nose with mild roasted barley and very light oat and base malt for balance. Clean, no alcohol. Soft, malty, though quite dry. Wouldn't hate a TOUCH more malt depth, but this is certainly very light and easy drinking as such. Coffee quite strong and dark, which isn't my favorite, but it works just fine in a porter with all the roasted malt. Vanilla, char, caramel and honey lingering. Gets fantastic after its warmed extensively.

Brown with orange highlights and a small beige head that left decent lacing. Toasty and woody with faint maple, a bit of fruit and some astringency. Medium finish and body.

16 ounce can. Bright amber red color. Large, frothy tan head. Toasted malt aroma hints at maple and molasses. Rich, toasted malt flavor has notes of caramel, maple and root tonic. Subtle notes of molasses and earthy leaves. Sticky mouthfeel leads to a cloying, malty finish.

Spotty beige head on an unclear pale golden coloured body. Zesty citrus aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated & dry on the back. Under ripe citrus, apple, citrus peel & grapefruit tastes with a bitter finish. That's good.
