Can. A- Cinnamon, cocoa. A- Black color, dark liquid, fizzy brown head. T- Strong cinnamon, cocoa. P- Medium body, slightly thin texture, medium high carbonation, balanced finish. O- I must admit this isn't a favorite of mine. Of course it's far from bad but my expectations from White Elm are rather high. Feels like the ignored step sister of Champurrado. Just no chilies and more cinnamon. Really just loads of cinnamon and chocolate. A bit thin and watery. Almost like a Mexican Hot Cocoa beer. Above average but not White Elm quality. I should note, I also don't love cinnamon.

Deep dark purple and violet coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying pink head. Aroma of flowers (no surprise), grass, light syrup, hay and a touch of yeast. Light-bodied; Dry and slightly soured flavour from the flowers with a hint of caster sugar and honey, but the light tart notes of hibiscus (think Tazo tea 'passion' type or the Iced Tea they serve on domestic Thai airlines flights) make this very interesting and complex. Unfortunately, the saison and dry, yeastie complexities haven't found their way into the can, and this rubs off as more of a tart fruit beer or kettle soured beer with some floral aspects and not at all like a saison by any means. Aftertaste is dry and soft with some flowers and grass, but the floral and sweetness dominate throughout, but especially at the end with a slight tartness. Overall, an interesting beer that looks great (and un-beer-like) with a great hibiscus flavour, just not like a saison at all. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papilion), Nebraska on 28-June-2018 for US$1,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on 14-April-2019.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, light brown head that fades relatively quickly, but leaves a nice ligth tan head on top, just a centimetre tall. Aroma of roasted malt, peat, prunes, plums, grain, a dose of yeast and a touch of peanuts at the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malty and toffee flavours at first with a relatively large peaty and grainy bite towards the end with a dose of tobacco and earth, but a very subdued and malt pungency without anything light or airy here - this is all deep and quite strong. Aftertaste shows more nuts and robust grainy flavours with a lot of sugars roaming freely here - especially the nuts and earth. Overall, a nice enough beer with a ton of grainy, earthy and especially nutty flavours that show quite well, especially for the style with a lot of complexity, most notably at the end. Can. A- Vanilla. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Vanilla, burnt sugar, sweet cream, tobacco, cocoa, subtle iron, roasty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly oxidized finish. O- White Elm kills it with their stouts, making some of the best I've ever had. While this is good, these pasty style stouts are just not quite up to the extremely high standards I have for White Elm. This is really good, don't get me wrong, but it's just a tad too sugary for me to love it. Solid beer though.

Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a dense, but very quick-dying pure white head that shows up first like a soda and then dies quite quickly, leaving only a trace amount on top. Aroma of grass, light flowers, hay, subdued hops and perhaps the smallest amount of apricots around. Light-bodied; Super assertive effervescence; Strong apricot, peach and distinctly yeastie characteristics at first with a big grassy and herbal profile soon afterwards and a touch of cherries and other fruits noticeable towards the tail end. Aftertaste is mellow, but still showing a lot of dryness with the grass and herbs the strongest by far, but also a dose of apricots and a modicum of sweetness that emanate from the end with fruits being the source. Overall, a good enough beer that shows enough of the saison-like qualties with the dryness and yeast profile, but not enough of the apricots to be definitive - that said, they are around the edges and show well enough for someone who loves apricots and also a pungent belgian yeast strain. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 06-November-2018 for US1,99, sampled at home in Washington on 05-March-2019.

Can. A- Bubblegum, banana, caramel. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Bubblegum, banana, caramel, mild spice. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Enjoyed this more than my rating shows. Lots of bubblegum and caramel malt flavors. It's just a balanced and well rounded beer, it's not one that'll shock you with flavor, it's simply done right.

Super hazy, golden and light almond coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of light cardboard and grainy malts with a dash of nuts, earth and toffee and a hint of bubble gum at the end. Light-bodied throughout; Strong grassy and herbal flavours at first with a dash of white pepper, grain, malt, light alcohol and a dose of funky bubble gum and cereals along with a large unfinished yeast and bready bite. Aftertaste shows the grassy and perfumey hop notes front and centre with a dash of the white pepper and dry herbal finish. Overall, a decent enough Light IPA that shows some good hop characteristics without any harsh pungency or any cloying flavours or textures in the slightest bit. Nice to sample and if you are looking for a lower alcohol IPA that still shows some hop flavours and complexities -t his one might be fore you, assuming you can find it. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 06-November-2018 for US$1,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Inner Harbour, Baltimore, Maryland on 11-December-2018.
