On tap at Forschungsbrauerei München, Thursday 17th July 2025. Not sure why Forschungsbrauerei München are selling Hopfen Häcker beers as well as their own, maybe they have some dual arrangement? Tbf I didn't actually realise that this was a Hopfen Häcker beer until after I ordered it and then went to check it out and add it if necessary, being served in a Hopfen Häcker glass as well confirmed it. Looks fantastic, light/mid gold, slightly hazy, large creamy textured white head. As the name suggests the taste is a little floral, nice middling bitterness, actually a pleasant bittersweet balance, soft mouthfeel, the end is becoming dry. It's a lovely beer, perfect temperature, looks great, tastes great, aroma is a bit subdued but all told it really ticks all the right boxes.

Auburn with a gushing head. Berries, caramel and minimal earthy tones with a touch of burnt rubber. Taste is toasted bitter the whole way through. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle 15/41, thanks Shaun! Clear golden brown. Sweet, boozy. Taste is rather flat, would have expected more body. Wood, vanilla. A warm, long taste, with a wood vanilla boozy aftertaste. Not too much port barrel - which is good. Is a bit too much front heavy booze for me.

Limited bottle. Clear amber, low head light wood, perfume notes, medium light body, dry, amber resin, nice subtle blend, wood notes integrate well. Light dusty, berry retronasal.

Bottle drunk with a homemade burger. Beautiful head and nice carbonation level. Mild citrus and spicy-hop nose. Smooth flavor with a moderate hop bite, a little sweetness of malt, great balance. Good Helles!

Bottle drunk after a three day weekend. Medium amber with light haze and a decent finger of head. Grainy citrus nose, pretty decent flavor with a good mix of grain, moderate malt sweetness, and earthy-citrus hop bitterness at the end. Quite decent alkfrei!

Light red with a frothy, white head. Aroma promises caramel, lime, and spice. Taste is moderate bitter, grassy, and somewhat grainy. Finishes bitter with the sharpness from the hops coming through. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, somewhat dry. Good balance. Not bad.

Dark, dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Aroma quite hoppy for a bock, lime and pine on top with a malty, dark chocolate undertone. Not bad, although lacking somewhat in harmony. Taste is herbal bitter with mild roasted tones. Finishes the same with, again, a dose of lime that feels out of place for the style. Maybe I just can’t make the mental leap.. Full bodied, very smooth, mostly mild carbonation. Ok.

Das Sour von Hopfenhäcker fand sich auf keiner Homepage oder Liste, wobei ich sagen muss, dass das andere besser hinbekommen. Es gibt nette Ansätze, aber das Gesamtbild erscheint mir noch zu wirr 😵💫.

Tap at Super Bier Fest. Hazy borwn body, off-white head. Oily raisiny sweetish malty aroma, light alcohol. Alcohol dominates the taste, I feel it might be much more than 8.2% - the taste is lean and dry, with light caramelly notes and some oxidation, some barrel touches. I mean... fun experiment, but wasn't a huge fan.
