Description
Temporal Artisan Ales is a brewing project that is crafting delicate oak-aged beers in a shared space at Luppolo Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC. The beers we create are fermented 100% in our oak barrels over lengthy periods of time, imparting delicate complexity. Portions of separate barrels are blended to enhance specific characteristics unique to each barrel. Every beer we release has been meticulously crafted from start to finish.

Tasting at Matt's
Cloudy blond colour. The aroma is very fruity, stone fruits, quite evident manure too. Aggressive acidity, but also smooth; it has a good fruity character, light botanical note that can be the tequila, astringent and sour finish.
There are some interesting elements, but it's also dominated by the acid.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly subtle on the tequila, with only a touch of the barrels, a little wild yeast, and gentle acidity. Flavour is fairly intense, with lots of tequila barrels, intense citric notes, and sour fruits. Somewhat enamel-stripping, but it works alright. Lacking the depth and complexity of some other Temporal offerings, but it's cohesive and balanced. Good stuff.

Bottle at Weathered, pours a bright pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright red berries, with light wild yeast, and oak. Flavour is wonderfully fruity, with potent red berries, light oak, and wild yeast. Wonderfully potent and fresh. This is lovely.

Not romantic. Too dramatic. We can work it Night By Night. Has a bigly citrus yeasty smell, looks like foggy orange yellow with a hint of foam. Flavour is heavy citrusy yeast, chewy grains, sharp sourness. Kind of an overbearing take on a yellow Belgian ale but it sort of works.

Cloudy orange-blond colour; while pouring, a lot of solids fall into the glass. The smell is not very attractive, initially there is a lot of diaper, later that fades away and some fruit appear. The acidity is quite sharp, moderate white grape and stone fruit character, finishing with strong astringency, and unfortunately that yeast/diaper feeling again.

2018-12-31, draught at Luppolo, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. Acidic aroma, some smell of soured wine. Soft mouthfeel, also very dry, and very sour, touch of fruit, grape skins, lemon. Very light dough feeling in the finish, which is also quite astringent.
I get the character from sour grapes, but not the characteristics of a Gewürztraminer.
