Description
Temporal Artisan Ales is a brewing project that is crafting delicate oak-aged beers in a shared space at Luppolo Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC. The beers we create are fermented 100% in our oak barrels over lengthy periods of time, imparting delicate complexity. Portions of separate barrels are blended to enhance specific characteristics unique to each barrel. Every beer we release has been meticulously crafted from start to finish.

Bottle shared at Blabaer line (thanks whoever shared it!). Pours orange. Aroma and flavor are sour, fruity, peaches, vinegar. End of bottle, so also yeasty. Overall: good.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out the coffee upfront, which then transitions immediately to bourbon and brandy/cognac - very inviting. Flavour is bold and unusual, with lots of tart fruits, accentuated by the coffee, and rounded off the multifaceted barrel character. Seems like it could be chaos on paper, but this is executed very skillfully. Disparate flavours come together to forge a cohesive, tasteful beer. Very good.

0,75l from bottle shared during blabaer line. Yellow hazy color, small white head. Smells of peach, earthy, spices, grassy, lactic, funky. Nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes citric, grassy, earthy, some wood, peppery, bit herbal. Finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of grass, citric and funky notes. Very nice one

Draught at Luppolo, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. Interesting aroma, coffee cookies, delicate baked goods. The acidity is sharp, but the coffee gently boosts the stone fruit character and gives purpose to the acidity.
Not a beer that I would drink much of, but a refreshing, dynamic and interesting one.

Taster. Appearance: hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma: coffee with some bourbon and sour notes. Taste: similar, with some lacto notes. Overall: pretty good, but it lacks complexity IMO.
