Description
North Cotswold Brewery is a family-run craft brewery situated on the Fosseway a few miles outside Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour. The brewery was established in 1999. Producing award winning “Fine Ales from the Fosse” the brewery has a core range of six beers: Windrush Ale, Moreton Mild, Cotswold Best, Green Man IPA, Shagweaver and Hung Drawn ‘n’ Portered. Our seasonal ales and special brews also prove very popular, giving our customers a wide range of ale styles and flavours to choose from.

Our passion is for brewing quality ales, the traditional way, using only the finest natural ingredients. Caring for our customers and consumers remains at the heart of everything we do.

Cask half pint at the New Inn, Gloucester. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma of earthy and fruity hops. The flavour is quite smooth, but has still a fair amount of earthy and fruity hops.

Cask at the Wellington; light Amber pour with a thin white head, toffee aroma, taste has caramalt, sweet dark fruits, bitter finish.

500ml bottle from gloucester m5 services. Golden colour with thick white head. Aroma is malty, earthy hops, and buscuits. Taste is sweet, light hops and a hitter finish.

Pint at the Royal Hop pole, JDW Twekesbury. Dark brown cloud with an off white creamy head. Aroma has coffee, and roasted malt, with a fruitiness. Taste is slightly sweet. Thin body.

Cask at The Penny Black, Bicester, Oxon in company of Loz, Mum and Keith, Saturday 31st January 2015 Brown in colour, looks good and is in good nick, very slight haze. Fruity but nothing distinct, some hops but lacks hoppy bite (American hops, really? they were used very sparingly then) also I fail to pick up the Belgian yeast, I certainly don’t note a spicy edge. Its ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

On tap at the royal hop pole, Twekesbury. Deep Amber colour with a thick tan head. Aroma is light but has a touch of malt. The sweet, with a bitter finish. Ok

Pint from JDW the Royal Hop Pole Tewkesbury. Almost black colour, small light brown head. Good roasted aroma. The flavour is nice, roasted malt with a bitterness finish.
