In 2023-2024, we underwent a huge brewery expansion to increase the amount of beer we can produce, as well as improving quality and efficiency.
Our brewhouse is the first of it’s kind in the UK & Europe incorporating 4 new 6000L fermenting vessels, bringing our total to a 40,000L capacity. We have a 3-vessel fully automated brewhouse consisting of a mash conversion vessel, a lauter tun and a kettle whirlpool vessel. These three parts, in their own special ways, improve our brewing methods and increase efficiency.

Bottle picked up at Cork & Cask, Edinburgh. It pours jet black with a medium light tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark fruit, plum, fruit cake, coffee, slightly charred, chocolate cake and toasted spice. The taste is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, wood, coffee actions, dark fruits, peppery spice, tannin and toasted walnut with a drying and toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice aroma, but the taste is a bit chewy. Fine.

The taste is slick, dry, bitter - sweet, oily, rich roasted malt, earthy roast, coffee, ripe cherry, cherry jam, cacao, charred wood, chewy malt with a toasty finish. Bottle from Cork & Cask. It pours lightly hazy golden with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is bright, sweet, juicy, fruity, rhubarb & custard sweets, strawberry and jam rolly polly & custard. The taste is dry, some bitterness, toasty oats, rhubarb crumble, straw, grass, bit of green veg, herbal and a touch of soap vanilla custard. Lighter - end of medium body and moderate carbonation. Taste doesn't quite live up to the aroma. Fun stuff anyhow.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and white grape. Flavour of grass, grapefruit and sweet tangerine. Medium body with a smooth texture. Weak fizz. It needs more carbonation, but this is a nice refreshing beer. Very easy drinking.

On cask at the Campervan Tap Room. Appearance - deep brown to black. Nice fawn head that hangs around. Nose - chocolate, toffee, marzipan. Cherry stone. Taste - more cherry stone and creamy chocolate. Nuts and toffee. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Dry crunchy yet still creamy finish. Overall - lovely. It was definitely better on cask than in the bottle or keg versions.
