Taste comprises orange pith, lemon rind, straw, herb, melon.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close punctured with earthy come grassy hop bitterness.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, grass and marzipan. Flavour of earth, grass and a hint of marzipan on the finish. Medium to fast op body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. SMOD’s lagers are always so flavourful.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Pale gold. Very decent white foam. Nose has sweet grain. Some rubbery notes. Bit of cardboard. Taste is sweet and a little buttery up front with a quite harsh bitterness. Bit heavy overall. Harsh bitterness to finish. Not SMODs best lager by some way. Looks good though.

Can at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours almost black with a sizeable foamy tan head. The aroma has roasted malts, marshmallow and marzipan. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with some sharpness mixed in. Flavour has honey, banana, vanilla and some smoky traces. Hints of chocolate and apples come through later leading to a slightly bitter finish. Another winner from SMOTD !

440ml can from Mitchell Wines Meadowhead - Hazy amber body with a massive creamy head. Lemony bread character, little hoppy citrus tang, creamy mouthfeel, very quaffable.

660ml bottle from St Mars of the Desert in Attercliffe - cloudy yellow body with a short lived white top. Slightly fizzy, very dry crab apple, funky yeast, drying white grape finish. Enjoyed this very much.

Can. Nose is brown sugar, fruity, dried fruit, spice, nutty, fruit cake, very inviting. Taste is brown bread, dried fruit, prunes, hint of apricot, bread, a dry, marzipan, herbal and spicy malty finish. Light slick mouthfeel.
I was expecting a sugar bomb from the nose, but this was much better. Well balanced, complex malty body and a pleasingly dry finish. Superb.
