Bottle(thanks to Otto’s column!): Deep golden, hazy, small white foamy layer; distinctive dryish and tart grassy-hoppy nose, some pale malt in the background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, quite full bodied, not very soft; more pale malt detectable in the lingering and pretty dry bitter-hoppy finish. Nice hop-accented Doppelbock…

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark and ruby brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Leafy and slightly roasted malty aroma with hints of caramel and a whiff of milk. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Delicately roasted malty base with caramel, and slightly lactic flavours; sweet and delicately roast- and hop-bitter finish. Drinkable, but too sweet for my liking, not that what I expect from a Schwarzbier. 03.XI.15

(bottle) Cloudy, brown colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Yeasty, delicately roasty malty and moderately wheaty aroma with notes of grain, caramel and a berry-fruity touch. Mildly sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite balanced mix of malty, wheaty and fruity flavours, the latter getting slightly vinous tart towards the finish, accompanied by shades of caramel and phenolic spices. Good. 29.X.15

(bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Delicately grainy malty and moderately wheaty aroma with a tinge of banana and clovy spice. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly grainy wheaty taste with hints of banana and traces of citrus, backed by bearable clove-spicy notes in the background; mildly sweet and delicately sour-tart finish with notes of banana and a slightly grainy touch.
