About
We are George and Tom Jenkinson, brothers and directors of our family run brewery. Founded in 1980 by our father and mother, Richard and Lesley Jenkinson, we remain the oldest independent brewery in the Chiltern Hills and Buckinghamshire.

Located on an old working farm in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, the emphasis has always been to produce natural, wholesome beers using the best, class A malt and hops sourced in England. Our brewing process mirrors age-old methods and our beers are brewed with skill, passion and integrity. We have always been proud to support British farmers and all of our ingredients have a good provenance.

Rating from bottle collection/historic notes. Bottle bought at the Royal Farm Shop, Windsor, Berkshire. Poured dark ruby/brown with a moderate beige coloured head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, and roasted chcolate malt. Quite sweet, light bitterness. Quite heavy bodied, slick texture. Good brew.

Handpump at White Horse on Parson's Green in London. Clear and bright dark Amber pour, tick ivory foam. Nose: traces of dried tomatoes, dried figs, leather! Lovely. Mouth: sweet cherry like start with a sudden bitter sharp closure. Great with BBQ imho. Liked it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Harte and Magpies, Coleshill. As Chiltern Ale. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry woody hop, light peppermint bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Gravity cask from the Draymans Son, Ely. Very close to black with a slight white head. Fresh vanilla, toffee and lots of liquorice in the nose. Sweet taste… very sweet and malty. Almost sickly. Long over&sweet finish. Too much liquorice in the aftertaste. Well made but far too sweet for the likes of jjsint.
