We are George and Tom Jenkinson, brothers and directors of our family run brewery. Founded in 1980 by our father and mother, Richard and Lesley Jenkinson, we remain the oldest independent brewery in the Chiltern Hills and Buckinghamshire.
Located on an old working farm in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, the emphasis has always been to produce natural, wholesome beers using the best, class A malt and hops sourced in England. Our brewing process mirrors age-old methods and our beers are brewed with skill, passion and integrity. We have always been proud to support British farmers and all of our ingredients have a good provenance.

*Old rating, cask in the UK. Nice malty Ale. The typical yeast characteristics is there, the body is full with malty aroma, smooth and easy to drink. For the ABV nice and round, moderate bitter in the aftertaste with nice nuts and malt.

Bottle shared at Daniels place. 20/02/2016. From St Albans BEER fest. Hazed orange coloured pour with a lasting lively frothy white head. Aroma is toffee apple, alcohol. Flavour is composed of toffee apple, burnt sugar, lively, bitter apple. Palate is frothy, airy carbonation, tangy bitter woody finish. Decent.

Bottle shared in Richmond - many thanks to Fergus. Pours cloudy gold with a frothy, off-white head. Rich bread in the nose, so,e ripening citrus, dry toffee, crackers. Medium sweet flavor with some ripe tangerine, pale bread, lemon meringue, light pine, custard, vanilla frosting, medium bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, with light bitter hay, orange rind, sugary pale bread, more custard, ripe citrus. Pretty tasty stuff.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Chiltern Royal Male First Class Delivery ].[ Vintage BBF 2015/01 ]. [ Bottle #350 ].Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, oxidide, riped fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, riped fruit, oxidide, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20150811]

Cask at the White Hart, Holyport, as Chiltern Pale Ale. A lively, slightly hazy, amber pour with a scummy cream head; biscuity malt aroma; creamy biscuity malt taste with a touch of citrus and a crisp finish.

Bottle at chriso’s. Pours clear copper with a foamy white head. The nose holds tangy citrus, grain. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of grass, bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet, grainy.

50 cl bottle, no 350. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is mild fruity. Loght phenolic. Sweet, toasted and slight caramelish. Bitter and fruity smooth fruit finish. Linhering malty, slight oxidised finish.
