Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, tap at the brewery tap - Erlangen, 25/01/14. Hazed orange amber with a good sized white head. Nose is toffee, banana, spice, faint ginger, light vegetal notes. Taste comprises banoffee pie, clove, spices. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok hefe.

On tap at The brewery tap. Cloudy gold lasting white head. Ok weisse quite light in flavour and character but ok. Insipid and dull.

23/01/2014 Mad for Beer (tap). Color mou, opalescente, torbida, schiuma bianca a bolle grossolane, abbondante e molto persistente. Al naso sentori di esteri, banana, frumento, leggera speziatura, mou, latte, caramello. In bocca è dolciastra, caramello, mou, frumento, dolce, stucchevole alla lunga. Corpo medio, consistenza mielosa, carbonazione media. Bah!

Leuchtend rot-braune Farbe, schon etwas ins Lila-gehende (14Pkt). Der Geruch ist schön malzig-trocken und gleichzeitig süßlich. Im Antrunk ist das Bier schön süffig-leicht trocken malzig. Zum Hauptteil hin wird das Bier noch trockener, dabei aber auch komisch süßlich-muffig. Leicht vergoren, aber dabei unangenehm wie alte Pappe. Leicht rauchig-süßlich. Zum Nachgeschmack wird das Bier trocken-muffig, leicht erdig-herb, dabei ganz leicht süßlich-malzig.
--> Ganz nett, aber auch nicht so ganz mein Geschmack - zu komisch-muffig, vor allem im Nachgeschmack! Vielen Dank an wastl!!

Vielen Dank an wastl für dieses Bier. Die Farbe ist schön golden mit süßlich-weichem Geruch. Der Antrunk ist mild-vollmundig, sehr süffig-süßlich. Zum Hauptteil kommt eine ganz leicht Herbe Note hinzu, die zum Nachgeschmack hin stärker wird. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine herb-süßliche Note, leicht muffig, aber angenehm.

0.5l bottle. Amber body, white head. Lots of caramel, and some booze, roastyness, orange zest and floral hops in the aroma. Caramel dominates the taste too, with some bread, roasted malts and a hint of floral hops. Medium bodied beer with oily texture and warming alcohol.Pretty nice.

On tap at the brewery. Clear mid brown. Lasting beige head. Unusual for here. Malty. Dry red malty beer. Bit of burnt malt on aroma. Very clean. Characterful. Quite nice.
