(bottle) Cloudy, chestnut-brown colour with a huge and slightly beige foamy head. Dark malty, slightly wheaty and berry-fruity aroma with notes of leather and a tinge of chocolate. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation for a Hefe. Dark malty and mildly toasty taste with a mild fruit-character, shy notes of chocolate and cloves towards the moderately sweet and wheaty finish. 21.V.12

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Berry-fruity and slightly nutty cara-malty aroma with herbal hops and a tinge of ice tea. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light but not watery bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Mildly toasted cara-malty taste with herbal and slightly woody accents, accompanied by a delicately berry-fruity touch; mildly bitter and slightly sweet toast-malty finish with present herbal hops. 50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured hazy light golden with a frothy, lasting white head. Very yeasty, bready and grainy aroma. Flavor quite similar. Too yeasty to be enjoyable.

Bottle. Murky golden, offwhite lace. Fermenting banana nose. Somewhat phenolic entry, banana, almonds, clove, jam. Fullbodied, chewy sparkly mouthfeel. Citric retronasal.

bottle, either form Jonas or Biershop-Bayern. Clear red-brown colour, large beige head. Intensive hop aroma. Elegant dark malt body with caramel and roasetd malts, plus lots of very aromatic hops, resiny, lemony and slightly grassy. Unusually hoppy for a dark beer - this gives it an almost ale-like character.

A light yellow beer with a quite big and blond head. Aroma is fresh and wheat, bananas, some sourness and carnation. Taste is wheat, bananas, quite dry, some biting spicyness. Medium- bodied, nice to drink. Good, quite dry hefe, some tightness in the taste bothers me.

Drank at the 2009 Nurnberg AltStadtFest on a sunny afternoon watching the world go by! The only beer I reviewed while at the fest (of many tried). Pale golden body with a very slight haze to it, a good firm white head sat on top of my half litre glass. Yeast and hops in the aroma, unable to pick up anything else to be honest. Good feel and taste to it, a true keller beer in every sence. Hoppy, a sweet and sour overtaste and some hidden caramel made the afternoon a very happy time. Sadly the bottled version I tried later in my hotel room was nowhere near as good.

Murky, yellow-orange colour. Thick, disappearing head. Aroma has ripe banana, some alcohol and wheat. Flavour has lots of ripe bananas, some alcohol, wheat and hints of spices. Sticky palate. Drinkable.

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 30th Sep 2010, drank 30th Jun 2010, obtained from ’Beers of Europe’ and poured into two Veltins badged stemmed tulip glasses. Very light, even for a lager/pilsner, the regular snowy white, foaming head sat on top of both pours. This is a non-offensive pilsner with no great attributes to put it above all the rest in its class. Usual semi-grainy nothing aroma, refreshing, crisp and a bright summery feel, but no body strength or umph to get the tastebuds racing or the heart beating faster.
