Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap, Allston, MA. Served in a mug. Yellow cloudy color thin, tiny head. Pleasant nose of malt and well spiced. Medium in body from solid bread like malt. Finishes a bit sweet with a light hop to balance it. Nice

Pours bright yellow gold into a Sam glass. White head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet cookie and caramel aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel upfront turning to sourdough before the lasting grassy finish.

bottle - Pours golden and smells of bready malt and light, distinctively German hops. The flavor has a pleasant hops bitterness combined with light malts that make for a refreshing, well done pils.

New Beer Distributors, NY 500ml ($2.50): Pours an orangish color with a white head. Aroma is fairly standard banana, cloves, and stuff. Taste is kind of meh. A little bit too much on the sweet side; there is an element of this that is almost sour, but not exactly. Basically, I wanted to give hefes another try and this one disappointed me a bit. Is it easy drinking and sessionable? Sure, of course it is. I would even say that this is a relatively good beer, but nothing great or at all notable.
