9/XII/23 - 37.5cl bottle @ BBGG winter 23-24, BB: VIII/2023 (2023-1149) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy blond yellow to orange beer, small creamy beige to yellowish head, a little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: funky, very fruity, lots of peaches, apricot, a bit earthy, some tobacco, lemony. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: good carbon, soft acidity, a little bitter, some tannins, earthy, a bit watery. Aftertaste: dry, spicy, soft acidity, lemony, pretty bitter, decent.

Small off-white head, kept up by unclear orangey-golden beer. Perfumey version of horseblanket, wet wood, floral, waterplants, lactic acid, hint at whisky. Fine acids, lactic and fruity. Again wet wood & horseblanket, lemon; whisky remains hidden in the flavour. Refreshing, acidburnt and faint heat, good carbonation. I wonder about the reasons for the ABV difference with the first edition. Have the same barrels been reused, maybe? The 11% edition had a lot more bite, and was more pleasing.

0.375 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', bottled in August 2023. Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite funky and gently fruity aroma of horse blanket, overripe lemon, oak, white pepper and some gooseberry. Gently sweet, moderately sour, rather funky and quite fruity taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, white pepper, oak and horse blanket, followed by a short, gently tart, moderately woody-dry finish. Medium body, very smooth, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. A very mellow Geuze indeed, highly drinkable, smooth and refreshing. Great entry level lambic, a real pleasure.

375mL bottled 2022, drunk 11/9/23. Clear, bright, copper-brass-golden. Large, carbonation-bolstered, off-white head. Soft and bretty with a bit of aspartame-like character and some soft, round oak. Reminds me a lot of Oude Beersel, though more overt, bright Brett. There's that weird cellar mustiness that you get from Boon and that mousiness, as well. Seems very malty, also much in the Boon vein. Clean, though. Lots of Brett is a highlight. In the mouth it's very soft, supple, malty. Brett-forward notes with super low lactic and no acetic. Just enough quenching acidity on the finish to balance, with tight carbonation, almost creamy-like. Actually, I take that back, it does contain enough lactic acidity, growing stronger on the finish with warming and breathing. Nice. Approachable but still with enough assertive acidity and you have to love the namesake Brett here. Good, round, gentle oak.

Sampled at Snallygaster 2023. Cherry and red wine on the nose, the lambic base feels a bit washed out. Flavor confirms, lacks some body and so you're looking at thin red wine and cherry juice. It's fine, but you expect better of the style.

Hazy bright orange colour, minimal creamy white head; aroma of citrusy, balsamic acidy, earthy, grape peel, and some acetone notes; taste has similar notes to the aroma with quite definite hoppy bitterness; great one! Thanks so much for sharing, Kapusil!
