On tap at the brewpub. Sehr dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer großen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch ist dezent rauchig, etwas Schinken und röstmalz. Geschmack angenehm rauchig, röstmalzig, Schinken, lecker!

On tap @Bir&Fud (Rome). Pours golden with a decent white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, light hoppy notes, nice. Flavour is well balanced, malty, medium sweet with a good bitter end. Medium body, medium carbonation. I like it!

On tap @FrankenFest, Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours a coca cola color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is delicate smoke with light malty notes, bread crust. Flavour is medium sweet, malty with a decent bitter end, nice smoked notes in the aftertaste. Medium to light body, a bit watery, light carbonation. Nice!

Hefig-wässriger Antrunk, die Wässrigkeit nimmt noch zu. Unspektakulär, die Bananigkeit wirkt dabei aufgezwungen, ist aber ebenfalls sehr mild gehalten. Zum Ende wässrig, bananig und getreidig, süffig. Nicht wirklich ausgereift.

Herb-malziger, höchstens mittelmäßig intensiver Antrunk und weiterer Verlauf. Malziger werdend, die Herbe spielt dabei immer noch eine große Rolle. Zum Ende etwas würziger, was das Bier dem aufkommenden Hopfen verdankt.

(draught at the brewery tap) Cloudy, murky brown colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white frothy head. Sweet, banana-fruity aroma with a slightly sour wheat-malt character, accompanied by notes of bubblegum and discreet clovy phenols. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour with a tinge of acidity, medium to full bodied with a lively carbonation. Almost dry mouthfeel, slightly tart wheaty malty and fruity (banana, ripe citrus) taste; dry-ish fruity and slightly tart finish with a present wheat character and balanced spicy phenols; the alcohol is well-embedded and barely detectable. (draught at the brewpub) Hazy, dark amber colour with a small tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet, roast-malty and slightly ashy nose with a touch of burnt grains. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Roasty grainy taste with notes of caramel, dry and quite slim roasty finish with a burnt and hoppy bitterness. Unexciting but still pretty drinkable. 09.II.08
