Description
Welcome to the Hackney Church Brew Co. We are a new brewpub based in the heart of Hackney, named after the parish church over the road. Like the church, we want to create a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy that gives back to the local community.

We serve our own tasty beers alongside delicious food in our taproom and sunny garden. In our book, that’s beer for all sorts.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Holds moderate sweetness, semi-ripe lemon, a little vanilla, angel good cake, light rindy bitterness, touches of pine needles. Light bodied with average carbaornion. Has some pithy citrus in the finish, pale bread. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, deep brown with a small, creamy khaki head. Restrained, lightly sweet, with notes of toasted brown bread, a hint of molasses, cocoa, pine, earth, citrus accents. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, some bready sweetness, dark malts, impressions of orange and cocoa, subtle roast. Not bad.

Light bodied with average carbonation. Well rounded on the finish, with more biscuits, pale grains, nips of straw and grass. Good and drinkable.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear red-purple with a small, foamy white head. Quite nice, balanced and restrained, with tart berries (a little generic, but nice), some salty bite, relaxed acidity. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean in the finish, with lightly quenching acidity, tart berries. Good stuff overall.
